Commenting now easier with pop-outs

Hey there folks. Just a little update but I've changed the settings now so people can click on the comments for posts and write their comments directly into the pop-up box that will appear rather than having to go through loads of pages.

Certainly makes it easier for people to leave their thoughts now and is better than going through several pages and having to verify and confirm them.

See, even this cat agrees that it's better!

Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Gamescom vids look the shizzle, show in-game supers

Capcom were nice enough to unveil a couple of gameplay vids from last week's Gamescom event of their upcoming title Marvel vs. Capcom 3 being played pretty well and also showcasing the level 3 suprs of Capcom's Amaterasu from Okami and the menacing Super Skrull from the Marvel universe.

Be sure to check the game out when it is released in Spring next year.

Cheers Capcom Unity blog!

General gibbers and KOF XIII arcade intro

I said I'm going to do more regular updates and by damn, here we go! Hope folks are feeling okay as my eyes are of the weary kind this week, that's for sure but thankfully it's because I'm doing more work rather than wasting my time away doing the 'easy to lose track of time' thing of 'extended internet browsing'.

If you have the spare time you can still pop over to the website SPONG where you can see some of the contributions that I have been doing recently.

Also, pray for a console release for KOF XIII soon. In the meantime you can enjoy the into to the game which does certainly whet the appetite to say the least!

Blazblue to come in 2 flavours: Limited and Fan Editions

Slightly old news but Zen United are going all out to please fans of weapons-based fighter Blazblue with the upcoming updated release in the series, Blazblue: Continuum Shift. Players will be able to buy the standard edition of the game but can also opt for the Limited Edition or the Fan Edition.

The Limited Edition will include:

· A 96 page art book including artwork and concept sketches.
· A collection of eight beautiful cards featuring stunning illustrations as well as special moves, distortions and combos for all

Looking good!

Where as the Fan Edition will include all of the above together with:

· The Limited Edition version
· Makoto Playable Character DLC
· Noel ‘Nendoroid’ Figurine
· Limited Edition art print by renowned artist Alvin Lee
· A 96 page art book including artwork and concept sketches.
· A collection of eight beautiful cards featuring stunning illustrations as well as special moves, distortions and combos for all

Looking even better

Although the Fan Edition has been selling like hot cakes (via Zen United's site shop) make sure you pick up a copy of the game when it is released in October (only 3 months after the Japanese release so not too long of a wait for fans of the series). The standard and Limited Edition versions of the game should be available through all participating retailers.

Quick update, SPONG contributions, what else I'm doing recently

Just a quick update today but I've started to do news contributions to the website SPONG where you can see some of the headlines I've reported more prim and properly.

I also intend to get back to updating the blog more often, albeit briefer updates and some reviews which I've written the roughs of but have yet to update to the site.

Still, keep on checking and look forward to what's coming.

NO MORE HEROES 2 REVIEW

Otakus. Often outcast in society, they circle the toilet bowl of the social ladder when it comes to their level of importance in the world. Therefore it should be no surprise that in No More Heroes 2 we find one such individual who is hoping to redefine that stereotype, one body at a time. His name is Travis Touchdown and he’s back to wreak some havoc with his beam katana. Does he perpetuate peoples’ views on the sub-culture group he belongs to or does he show us that otakus are not just sad geeks who masturbate to anime and own hug pillows of their favourite luchador? Read on to see.

Other works I have done around the internet

I don't think I've done this as of yet but it struck me like a bolt of lightning today (and given the weather we've been having recently I'm expecting that to happen any day now).

You can check daily news updates that I have been contributing for the last six months or so at the excellent Daily Gaming News (LINK), a wonderful website that is as per it's namesake and is definitely worth checking out.

Also, although I have been updating the blog with reviews you can also check out ones that I have done for the website Realm of Gaming (LINK) which is a decent and fully rounded place to check for all things gaming. You can see the reviews that I have contributed at the links below:

Final Fantasy XIII review
GOW III review
Heavy Rain review
Resonance of Fate review
Blazblue Portable review
Tatsunoko vs Capcom review

Happy reading and as ever, please leave feedback if you feel compelled. Also, look forward to a review of No More Heroes 2 which I should be updating soon after having finished writing the rough earlier today in what could possibly have been the most humid cafe in Leeds market ever (I'm surprised I didn't pass out!) Still, keep checking the blog for the review which will be up soon.

UNCHARTED 2 REVIEW

Nathan Drake. A name you wouldn’t normally associate with situations of high action and adventure, yet this is the name of the main hero who has experienced many a high-adrenaline fuelled treasure hunt around the world’s various locations and which we have had the honour of experiencing on the PS3. The second of these will be chronicled in this review of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.
